But most video production these days aren’t big-budget studio films; they’re YouTube videos and online marketing content. There’s something truly authentic—something irrefutably powerful—about on-location shoots, and this energy is captured by cameras and, in turn, enjoyed by viewers.
Of course, one of the biggest downsides to on-location shoots—one of the only downsides—is the associated cost. While they don’t require the rental for the set or soundstage, filming on-location can still be pricey, and this reputation for expensiveness has led the shooting style to be regarded as intimidating (and not worth exploring) by many rising filmmakers.
By implementing some simple and effective tips, however, media professionals who’re filming on-location can save a substantial amount of cash and complete the process for a fraction of the cost paid by others, all without sacrificing the quality of the produced footage in any way.

Put Food First

It might be tempting to book a film crew’s stay in a hotel, but it isn’t always economical. On the contrary, hotels can be absolute “money pits” that eat-up the majority of an on-location work’s budget.
Short-term apartment rentals are affordable and convenient alternatives. They have accommodation options available in almost every area. Planning for an on-location shoot and choosing an apartment instead of a hotel will preserve a project’s budget and assure that the resulting footage is once again excellent.
Most actors and actresses are committed, dedicated, attentive professionals who’re honored to be part of a project they’re passionate about. Like many things in life, though, occasional “bad apples” do appear and will be encountered. These “bad apples” could very quickly be part of one’s on-location project.
As such, to minimize risk, minimize losses, and assure that a project gets finished as scheduled, it’s important for on-location film professionals to have a plan-b. This means that backup actors, actresses, and crew members must be on retainer and able to be called at a moment’s notice should their services be required.

This instrumental has a great feeling about it. It motivates you to move around and get things done. It makes you want to dance, jump around and have fun. Anyone I have ever played this for liked the way it flowed/sounded. The instrumental HipPop was ultra fun to create. It uses a mixture of pop, dubstep and hip hop sounds and has a really unique feel to it. Towards the chorus it has a dubstep sort of drop to it that I really love.

Live Forever is a great mix of deep bass, hi energetic synth sounds and feel good percussion. This instrumental has a very uplifting, inspirational and motivational type of feel to it. I could see this being used for tons of positive projects, growth videos, extremely powerful presentations and more. For some reason this instrumental really connects with me; I probably cried like 15 times making it (I honestly contemplated whether to say that or not but I really connect with my music and wan’t you to see that I am a real person).
Made it was an instrumental that was originally created with clips of Les Brown’s motivational speeches on top of it. Les Brown is a well known motivational speaker that helps entrepreneurs start their own businesses, among other things. He is a great guy and has tons of positive things to say and stories to tell. Motivation is a beat I created right after getting through a depressing time in my life. My relationship (with 4 step-kids), my websites (2 at the time), my businesses (music production and SEO) among other things weren’t really going that well for me. Just Feels Good is a happy/laid back type of instrumental that feels like the sunset of a great day on a island beach. Plenty of percussion, guitars and even some dj mixing sounds made it into this instrumental.
Good feeling is a hip hop/r&b type of beat that has an awesome upbeat energy to it. The kick and snare really set it off. There are also some special synth type sounds in there that I really like as well. The arpeggio that plays in the ending chorus and in choruses throughout really take it in more of a positive direction as well. This instrumental reminds me of taking a really nice drive on a sunny day during the weekend. It feels like there is not a care in the world and everything is on the up and up.
Another R&B is a pop and r&b instrumental that uses pianos as the main instrument throughout the beat. The piano melody is backed by strong synth sounds that dominate the track once they become present in the mix. Nice feel good instrumental here that tells its own story. It starts out a little slow with only pianos and synths playing but eventually picks up the energy once the kicks and snare make their way into the mix.
Hold My Hand is a love type of instrumental that feels good and reminds you of that special someone. It makes you want to be close. This is actually one of my Wife’s favorite instrumentals of mine. I made this instrumental back in 2010 or so. This has more of an R&B feel to it but could be used for any type of project that needs happy love music.
